End Of All Life And Creation (Excesor
Christianorum Records)
Finally this first full length of this
unholy trio came to my hands! Having being
impressed by the band’s firsts two demos,
“Pandemonic Holocaust” and “Ancient
Apocalypse” I was quite anxious to hear this
brand new blasphemous piece of Metal, and
now I’ve play this record, about five times
a day for almost four days in a row, let me
tell you there was no was no disappointment
here. “End Of All Life And Creation” is, as
the title explicitly implies, an obscure
piece of pure, sorrowful and slaughtering
Black Metal played in the way it should.
This album shows a slight and logic
progression from its predecessor (there’s
still nothing here but pure traditional
Black Metal), but this time the band seems
to have detached slightly its sound from
their influences, you will still find here
the direct influences of bands such
Darkthrone (principally), Mayhem and Burzum,
but this album more than sounding like a
clone of any of the mentioned bands, sounds,
as I’ve mentioned above, like the natural
progression of “Ancient Apocalypse”, that is
to say, grim mid to fast paced Black Metal
with some mournful atmospheres created by
the sharpened guitar melodies, complemented
by some disturbingly calm interludes (such
the entire “When the Fog Veils...” track).
This work also has an interesting and
violently epic aura surrounding the fastest
passages of the album, which contrast with
the slower and sombre parts… all these
blended by the infernal vocalizations of
Chaosforos, who maintain the crude and
possessed tone trademarked in the band’s
previous efforts. Even when this album moves
completely into the well-known Traditional
Black Metal parameters, there’re some
interesting and pretty “original” structures
here, with several tempo changes and quite
complex movements (for a Black Metal
release), all these improved by the strong
sounding production. If you enjoyed
“Pandemonic Holocaust” and “Ancient
Apocalypse” you will certainly enjoy “End Of
All Life And Creation”, a strong piece of
hi-fi blasphemous Black Metal at its best!
