Promo 2010 (Godz Ov War Productions)

 This two-track promo is the latest work of this Polish Black/Death Metal act formed in 1990. This Satanic quartet has released just three full lengths during these more than twenty years of existence, and honestly they haven’t received the response they deserve… the music of Pandemonium has always been a profane mixture of macabre Black Metal atmospheres with disgusting Death Metal brutality, a blend the band likes to call “Satanic Dark Metal” and that’s exactly what this promo contains; two tracks of blasphemous obscurity and obscene brutality. The opening track “Black Forest” is a disturbingly obscure piece of Blackened Death Metal, where the demented and brutal vocal work becomes the leading element, with a hellish mix of ultra ripping shrieks and zombified grunts over a cadent and solemn mid paced structure. The fast double bass drums creates a huge tension, heavily contrasting, and at the same time accurately complementing the almost Doomish guitar riffing… The second and closing track, “God Delusion” is a straighter Death Metal piece, always complemented by obscure Black Metal overtones, but in a more discrete manner than shown at the previous composition, this track also shows a more traditional mid paced structure, once more adorned by the insane dual vocal work of Paul, resulting in a intense track but not as brilliant as the first one. This promo is apparently the preamble of their forthcoming album entitled “Misanthropy” which will be available sometime this year under Pagan Records… so make yourself a favour and get some material of this band, I ignore if this promo will be commercialized, but I guess you can contact Godz Ov War Productions and ask for yourself... If you like the profane and brutal Black/Death Metal sound, there’s no way you can go wrong with this Satanic Polish act. (AP)
