n our constant search for the most
extreme music over this fucking world,
we found this English entity, playing an
obscure blend of Death and Black Metal;
this band brings a fresh air blow to the
Death/Black Metal scene. “One Nation
Under Goat” is their second and most
professional work at the time, this
Mcd
contains the essence of this band in
form of five tracks full of brutality
and darkness… So, we decide to contact
and ask them what the hell are in their
impure minds and blackened hearts….

BB:
First I would like to thank you for
giving us this interview? Can you tell
us about Necrosadistic Goat Torture
beginnings?
Well, our beginnings were forged in
metal and alcohol, at our drummer's
birthday.
A couple of
weeeks
later we were already rehearsing, so
these "beginnings" did not take too
long.
BB:
I read the name Necrosadistic Goat
Torture comes from a medieval torture…
Can you tell us more about it?
The Inquisition used to practice a form
of torture where a prisoner would be
tied down, with their feet bathed in
salt solution. A goat would then lick
their feet with its rough tongue,
wearing the flesh away until a
confession was extracted. Another reason
for the name was a litre of
Absolut
vodka, after which
you would not feel any pain from torture
at all, even that carried out by the
most vicious inquisitorial sadist.
BB:
I think your music is very hard to
categorize… we can find many different
influences in your music…How you define
the sound of Necrosadistic Goat Torture?
We would define ourselves as a death
metal band with an injection of black
and thrash. We write without giving a
fuck about the genre, as long as it is
fucking extreme.
BB:
I have read many good reviews of “One
Nation Under Goat”, but I haven’t found
anything about your previous work… How
was the reception of “Necrosadistic Goat
Torture Demo’03?
The demo was printed in a limited
edition of 90 copies, had an atrocious
production, and was basically a
rehearsal where we played the songs
straight one after another.
However, we have got most of our gigs on
the strength of that demo, even before
anyone heard "One Nation Under Goat"
BB:
In the Lyrics-section of your homepage
there is a song called “Immortals” where
can we found this song? …By the way,
what’s the name of the last track of
“One Nation Under Goat”?
Immortals is a very old song from our
former guitarist Matt. It was originally
written
for his death metal band called
Uziel
in which he used to play when he was in
Poland.
The song has been recorded for our new
mini-album, and has been played
live many times.
The last track is a special song written
by
Goatmaster
when he was a 15 year old kinder-metal
idiot, and is called
Hamsterfucker.
While most of our music is very
serious and intricate, alcoholic
hallucinations sometimes inspire us to
greater things.
BB:
Talking about the lyrics, you seem to be
highly influences by the dark side of
humanity… What do you think the
principal expression of inhumanity of
mankind is?
What we mean by the dark side of
humanity, is not "inhumanity" as such,
it is the self-denial by humans of their
animal nature, the conformity of the
human herds. While we are at the top of
the food chain, we act like the most
pathetic fucking sheep.
We have a line in one of our songs - "we
can't do anything, yet everything is
permitted to us" - most people know
this, but are too afraid to live their
life to the full, instead
preferring drudgery and a vegetative
existence.
BB:
Your music seems to be not only
influenced by metal bands, in fact, I
think there are some strong Classical
Rock traces in your music, specially in
some, quite unusual structures…What
bands, directly, influenced the sound of
Necrosadistic Goat Torture?
In
fact, the influences are not from
classic rock, but from classical music,
and any
similarity to classic rock bands come
from the fact that they were influenced
by
classical music as well. The members of
NGT
listen to a wide range of metal,
and classical. Our influences range from
Bach,
Krisiun,
Cryptopsy,
Dissection,
Mussorgsky, Edge of Sanity, Unleashed,
Malevolent Creation, Testament etc.
BB:
The name “One Nation Under Goat” is
quite intriguing… is there any concept
behind this name? Is this Mcd a
conceptual work?
The name comes from the American
bullshit phrase "One Nation Under God".
Since we are all from different
countries, we decided to mock one of the
biggest
nations in the world. We don't know
anything about god, but we know a lot
about
goats.
BB:
Can you tell us about the recording and
composition processes of “One Nation
Under Goat”?
Once we cure our hangovers with a timely
can of Carlsberg (among others), the
Goatess
and
Goatmaster
meet and spend hours with each others
guitar ideas
and arranging them. Often one of us
comes with a nearly finished song, while
the other acts as an arbiter of quality
and adds some unexpected chord
progressions
and scales.
BB:
I was greatly surprised by your musical
level and I was even more surprised when
I knew you haven’t signed with any label
yet…Have you received offers of some
label?
We have been offered some deals with
underground labels, but we rejected
them.
We can release our material on an
underground level ourselves - which is
not always
easy due to our perennial
cashflow
crisis. However, we a re interested in a
deal, but
one which is mutually beneficial. We put
our last money into our recordings, and
we
will never settle for a shit production.
BB:
It seems you have a quite extensive
“live” experience… Can you tell us about
your live shows?
We have played shit
loads of gigs in and around London, as
well as Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Our shows are always different - but our
music kills at least a few
people in the audience. One
"interesting" gig was when we played at
the Destruction
Fest in front of a bunch of people that
worship some bloke that let himself be
nailed
to a cross. At the end of our live
assault our guitarist smashed his
guitar,
blood covered propaganda leaflets were
thrown in the audience, and the
Goatess
decided
to see what the bearded one on the cross
felt, so she put on a crown of barbed
wire.
It was fucking chaos.
BB:
The United Kingdom has a really wide and
well-known Metal scene… can you tell us
about the really underground UK scene?
Is there any band you can recommend to
us?
We get a lot of great shows here as we
have very dedicated promoters in London.
The
UK scene has some very interesting
bands, as well as the old gods such as
Bolt Thrower, Benediction etc.
Desecration kills with their thrashing
death metal assault, as well as some of
the sickest lyrics ever written, for
which they we even prosecuted.
Illegiance
from Northern Ireland are young but play
the most genuine
thrash without pretension. Putrefy are
from Northern Ireland as well and play
bestial
gore death metal.
Adorior
execute with their blackened chaos, but
play only once a
year.
It is fucking difficult to be a UK band,
especially one from London, because this
is a very expensive country, and it
takes some survival skills to be a
msuician
in London, especially if you want to
break out of the UK.
BB:
What do you think about today’s Black
Metal scene? (This is an obligatory
question…jeje) What’s your opinion about
the rising NSBM scene? (This is another
obligatory one…)
While
there are a lot of black metal bands
today, a lot of the originality which
the first bands
posessed
has been lost - you have to trawl
through a morass of typical, badly
recorded
Darkthrone
worship until you find something worthy.
A lot of the old bands
have gone in "experimental" directions
which devalue what they have done before
- I think you know who we are talking
about. We play the metal of death, so we
do not
have that much interest in that scene.
As a band, politics do not concern us -
and putting too much political content
into metal is not what it is about.
Whatever side of the political spectrum
it comes from.
While
there are some good bands in the NS
scene, we do not understand how they
can worship a regime that would ban such
forms of musical expression as theirs.
As a band, we think that you do not need
to be a slave to other people's
ideologies
and dogmas, Satanism, Paganism, NS or
whatever.
BB:
What do you think the future of extreme
music is?
Some bands becoming so experimentally
gay that it hurts, as well as some bands
which are extreme in ways never
anticipated before.
BB:
What are your future plans? When can we
expect a new Necrosadistic Goat Torture
work?
We are planning some European live
assaults later on this year, as well as
releasing
a new
MCD.
An
alcoholocaust
in Poland might be happening in the
summer. The new CD is finished, and
should be available in March or April.
If you liked
"One Nation Under Goat", this new one,
with our new
lineup,
will fucking execute you.
BB:
Thanks again for your time… Is there
anything else you want to add to this
interview?
A
Necrosadistic
Hail to all worshippers of the metal of
death! Drink, fuck the goat
or each other, you can drink with us,
but you can't fuck with us!!!! May the
Goat be
with you!!!!!!!! |
