Domine Non Es Dignus
(Season
of Mist)
This
misanthropic piece of Black Metal starts
with a no-less misanthropic intro: “I
wish I could vomit blood on you people”
what a name! With some distorted hellish
industrial sound, then comes the extreme
speed nightmare with a brutal sound, a
voice that seems to be taken from the
depths of hell, screaming growls of pure
sick violence and hate, there are
sometimes clean voices too, ala Pest
(Obtained Enslavement) and some high
tones in the vein of Ihsahn (Emperor
RIP), just listen “Do not speak” (one of
my favorites). This album is like Black
Metal meets Industrial Metal with some
hints of Grind. The whole album runs at
top speed, with a remarkable distorted
guitar sound, those are extremely
produced, this gives most of the
technologic feeling, and the drumming
also has some synthetic sound, the
keyboards are used in some discrete way,
never abusing of their sound and the
atmosphere those could create. This
album has incredibly melodies, full of
anger, and misanthropic feeling. The
production is totally crystalline. This
is the most sick Black Metal band in the
whole UK. A point of comparison could be
the sound of today’s Aborym, but less
Techno/Industrial, more Black Metal,
well, the sound of Aborym seems to be a
strong source of inspiration. In the
compilation “The Best of Attila” Attila
Cishtar himself remixes an Anaal
Nathrakh song. The band said Anaal
Nathrakh was created with the only
purpose of being the soundtrack of
Armageddon… and definitely they are.
